Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to the last sale two weeks ago, steers and heifers sold with a higher undertone, mostly 5.00 to 10.00 higher, spots up to 15.00 higher, with yearlings firm to 1.00 higher. Slaughter cows 1.00 to 2.00 higher. Pretty short run this week as extreme heat and humidity have blanketed the area but plenty of buyer power helped nearly all weights tack on some significant gains. Supply light, demand good.
