Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to the last reported sale four weeks ago, a true test of some yearling steers as well as some 500-700 lb heifers sold 5.00 to 10.00 lower. Nice run of cattle to kick off the fall run including several load lots of yearlings that were met with good demand, just at lower price levels than the last sale. Considering the volatility the cattle market has experienced the past three weeks, the local cash trade held up quite well. Supply moderate, demand moderate to good.
