There was a moderate crowd on hand for the monthly replacement cow and bull sale at the SLMC. Several complete dispersal's were included in the offering. Many of the cow/calf pairs had small calves by side and a large number of the bred replacements were aged cows. Some of the cattle on offer were still showing the affects of the harsh cold weather of several weeks ago and limited forage supplies as we approach the end of winter. Demand was good for the better quality replacement cattle.
