Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last Wednesday, slaughter cows sold 3.00-9.00 higher with the greatest advance on boning slaughter cows and slaughter bulls sold 4.00-7.00 higher. The surplus of cows standing for slaughter appears to have diminished and packers are once again needing cows as reflected in the prices they currently willing to pay. There was a moderate supply of bred cows and cow/calf pairs were scarce. Supply was moderate and demand very good for slaughter classes.
