Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last Wednesday, steers and heifers mostly steady with some steers near 600 lbs 5.00 lower. Slaughter cows steady. Demand good. Supply light. More good quality weaned and unweaned spring calves in the mix this week. Live cattle futures were higher partly due to the higher slaughter pace expected this week with feeder contracts getting and additional boost from the lower corn trade.
