Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to the sale two weeks ago, feeder steers 5.00-20.00 higher with greatest advance under 500 lbs. Feeder heifers under 550 lbs steady, over 550 lbs 5.00-10.00 higher. Slaughter cows 4.00-6.00 higher. Demand very good. Supply moderate. Good buyer attendance. Outstanding quality in the feeder offering this week with several reputation fall calves in town, most selling with at least one round of MLV and some weaned 30-45 days but many coming right off the cow. Also still several green, light yearling cattle in the mix. Bulk price ranges under 600 lbs includes lots of medium flesh unweaned calves. Much needed rain fell overnight Tuesday with more in the forecast.
