Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Based on limited comparisons with last week, feeder steers and heifers mostly steady with several steer calves under 450 lbs fully 5.00 higher. Slaughter cows 2.00-3.00 higher. Demand good. Supply light. Cattle futures found some support Wednesday following yesterday's big sell-off. Beef cutout values are continuing to rise this week due to strong demand and low slaughter volumes while feedlots still appear very current based on declining carcass weights.
