Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last Wednesday, feeder steers and heifers 3.00-6.00 higher on a limited market test. Slaughter cows steady. Demand good. Supply light. Several packages of weaned calves this week along with a few consignments of yearlings weighing 600-750 lbs. The feeder market has hopefully bottomed seasonally with some help from strong beef demand, tight feeder supplies and a bright fed cattle outlook. Widespread rain covered the area to start the week with several reports in the 2.5 to 3.5 inch range.
