Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Feeder supply not sufficient to establish a market trend. Slaughter cows 3.00-4.00 higher. Light run due to the hot weather. Most classes found good demand with the offering highlighted by a load of slick haired yearling 670 lb heifers with good buying condition. Futures action was similar to last Wednesday with August Live cattle up 272 points as traders turned away from the general economic outlook to the here and now of a fed cattle market which has become increasingly bullish over the past 4-5 weeks.
