Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last Wednesday, feeder steers steady except some near 575 lbs 2.00-3.00 higher. Feeder heifers steady to 2.00 higher. Slaughter cows steady to 2.00 higher. Demand good. Supply moderate. Feeder futures gained around 400 points Wednesday aided by sharply lower corn. Fed cattle have traded lower again so far this week although fundamentally the market looks to be in pretty good shape and quite current despite concerns about beef demand.
