Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last Wednesday, feeder steers 3.00-5.00 higher. Feeder heifers under 550 lbs steady to 5.00 lower, over 550 lbs steady to 3.00 higher. Slaughter cows 2.00-5.00 lower. Demand good on steers, uneven on heifers. Supply moderate. The actual feeder trade continues to outperform the board this week with steep losses seen in feeder contracts on Wednesday. Declining beef cutout values are concerning although the fed trade is holding its ground so far this week with market ready numbers still in our favor for now.
