Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last Wednesday, feeder steers under 600 lbs steady to 2.00 higher, over 600 lbs steady to 2.00 lower. Feeder heifers under 450 lbs 2.00-5.00 higher, over 450 lbs steady. Slaughter cows steady to 2.00 higher. Demand good. Supply light. Cattle futures saw a decent bounce Wednesday after starting the week lower amid mostly negative news. The ball and chain of reduced slaughter that has stalled the fed cattle market to start the year is showing slow but steady improvement again this week.
