Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last Wednesday, feeder steers and heifers steady except several unweaned calves and a few heifers under 450 lbs 2.00-4.00 lower. Slaughter cows steady. Demand moderate. Supply light. As is usually the case as the calendar flips to October, price discovery is not much fun on some of the less desireable bawling calves although buyers will still take hold on some of the high quality unweaned offerings.
