Coordinated by Show Me Select Board with University Extension, Commercial Agriculture Program, MU College of Veterinary Medicine, Missouri Cattlemen Association and Missouri Dept of Agriculture. Heifers in this sale have met minimum standards for reproductive soundness, pelvic size, frame size, muscle thickness, body condition, and weight. They have undergone a comprehensive health program, and are guaranteed bred. All heifers are expected to calve from late August to mid November. The offering includes 10 Registered Angus. Heifers were graded and sorted into uniform lots according to projected calving dates and body type similarity. Demand higher compared to last December sale and the offering moderate with a very good attendance. Supply consisted of 99 bred heifers from 11 producers, in 46 lots selling to 24 different buyers with a sale average of $4655.00 per head, $299.00 higher than the December sale. The highest selling heifers was a Register Angus for $5,700.00..
