Coordinated by: Northeast Missouri Beef Cattle Improvement Association in cooperation with Missouri Show-Me-Select Heifers, Inc, University of Missouri Extension, MU College of Veterinary Medicine, Missouri Cattlemen's Association, F & T Livestock Market, and Missouri Department of Agriculture.

All Heifers in the sale have met minimum standards for reproductive soundness, pelvic size, body condition and weight. They have also undergone a comprehensive health program, and were guaranteed bred to easy calving bulls, with many synchronized and artificially bred. Projected calving dates were given for all lots with the heifers expected to calve from mid-January thru April, with the majority due in February and March. The offering was screened for blemishes, muscle thickness, frame, body condition score (BCS), and disposition by a final screening committee comprised of official graders from the Missouri Department of Agriculture and USDA, then sorted into lots according to calving dates and body type similarity.

A standing room only crowd was on hand for the Saturday afternoon sale. The quality was very attractive and the Demand was good with the sale averaging 2178.00 per head on 63 lots. There were 115 head of AI heifers that averaged 2226.00 per head and 76 natural service that averaged 2105.00 per head. The overall average was 161.00 per head higher than last year’s fall average.
