Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers were 7.00-10.00 higher. Steer and heifers calves under 700 lbs. were 10.00-25.00 higher with peewee calves under 450 lbs. 20.00-30.00 higher. Demand was very good on a moderate supply. The largest draft of the day was 126 head of 855 lb. steers which sold for a state record, in the 850-900 lb. weight range, at 376.50/cwt. That record was short-lived as a few drafts later, 61 head of 861 lb. steers sold for 379.00/cwt. Live Cattle Futures traded higher and Feeder Cattle Futures traded sharply higher on Tuesday.
