Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers sold steady to 3.00 higher. Steer and heifers calves under 700 lbs sold steady to 5.00 higher. Demand was good on a light supply. Heifers outnumbered steers with several pot-loads of yearling heifers in the offering. The largest draft of the day was 77 head of 691 lb. heifers which sold for 236.50/cwt. Cooler temperatures and lower humidity made movement of cattle much more comfortable. The Cattle Futures traded higher following the Labor Day holiday and Box Beef Cutouts rebounded from last week's decline.
