Compared to last week, there were too few receipts across all weight ranges for an adequate comparison, however undertones were higher. Demand was good on a very light supply. The last feeder sale of 2023 for the Ozarks Regional Stockyard had several buyers ringside who were looking for calves to turn out. The offering was made up of mostly single and small drafts of plain, short-weaned calves with only 3 drafts of 20 head or more. For 2023, ORS saw 144,285 head of feeder calves go through the ring with an additional 36,039 head being sold on the Video Auction. This was a 3.6 percent increase or 6,275 head more than in 2022.
