Compared to last week, steer and heifer calves were 4.00-8.00 higher with yearling calves not well tested. Demand was good on a light supply. The quality of the offering was much better than last week and was presented in small packages, with only six drafts of 20 or more head. Wide temperature changes, from lows in the 30's to highs in the 80's, have buyers questioning the vaccination program and the number of days weaned. Those calves 60 plus days weaned with two or more rounds of shots are topping the market with other types sharply discounted.
