Compared to last week, steer and heifer calves were 6.00-12.00 higher with spots 16.00 higher. Yearling steers and heifers sold 4.00-6.00 higher. Demand was very good on a moderate supply. Cattle Futures traded higher while Corn Futures traded lower. April Live Cattle reached the highest point of any spot live cattle futures contract in history at 172.45 beating the previous record of 171.97 set in October 2014. Boxed Beef continues to make good gains with Choice selling 2.19 higher and Select 3.64 higher today.
