Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers traded 2.00-4.00 higher. Steer and heifer calves traded steady to 4.00 higher. Demand was good on a light supply. Supplies were light due to the Thanksgiving Holiday week. The USDA's Cattle on Feed Report, released Friday, reported Inventories were 2 percent lower, Placements 6 percent lower and Marketings 1 percent higher than a year ago. This bullish report had Placements the lowest for any October since the series began in 1996.
