Compared to last week, steer calves under 700 lbs traded 2.00-4.00 higher with heavier weights steady. Heifer calves traded steady to 3.00 higher. Demand was good on a moderate supply. Heavy rains and flooding this past weekend kept receipts moderate as producers had to deal with muddy lots and washed out fences. Steers averaged 577 lbs at $150.04/cwt while heifers averaged 555 lbs at $131.53/cwt.
