Compared to last week feeder steers and heifers traded 3.00-6.00 higher. Demand was good on a light to moderate supply. Steers averaged 630 lbs at $138.09/cwt while heifers averaged 537 lbs at $ 128.41/cwt. Good gains on the cattle futures helped the demand, especially on long time weaned and vaccinated calves with others sharply discounted.
