Ozarks Regional Stockyards held a special Replacement Cattle Auction on Friday evening, May 16, 2025, with several consigners selling bred cows and pairs. The top bred cows sold for 3200.00/head while the top pairs sold for 4850.00/pair. Compared to the last Special Replacement Sale held in February, bred cows sold 300.00-400.00/head higher while cow/calf pairs were 800.00-1000.00/pair higher. Of particular interest at this sale was 500 pairs from a reputation herd in Grenada, Mississippi with over 40 years of genetics. Three- to six-year-old cows from this herd with 150-300 lb. calves averaged 4327.00 per pair. Seven-year to short and solid mouth cows with 150-300 lb. calves averaged 3545.00 per pair. Demand was very good with bred cows and pairs having no problem finding a new home. The market was very active with buyers traveling several hundred miles to attend. There were a lot of active internet buyers as well.
