Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last week, slaughter cows and bulls sold 2.00-4.00 higher. Demand was good on a moderate supply of replacement cattle and a heavy supply of slaughter animals. The USDA's Cold Storage Report released last week reported total pounds of beef in freezers were up 6 percent from the previous month but down 13 percent from last year.
