Compared to last week, slaughter cows and bulls sold 4.00-6.00 higher. Bred cows sold steady to 50.00 higher and pairs sold 100.00 higher. Demand was good on a moderate supply of replacement cattle and a heavy supply of slaughter animals. The USDA's Cold Storage Report, released today, reported total pounds of beef in freezers were down 6 percent from the previous month and down 16 percent from last year.
