Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last week, slaughter cows and bulls were steady. Bred cows were 100.00-150.00 per head higher while pairs were scarce. Demand was good on a moderate supply of slaughter animals and a moderate to heavy supply of bred cows. The USDA's Cold Storage Report released Tuesday reported total pounds of beef in freezers were down 4 percent from the previous month and down 10 percent from last year.
