Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last week, slaughter cows traded 3.00-4.00 higher and slaughter bulls traded steady. Bred cows and pairs traded steady to firm. Demand was good on a moderate supply of slaughter animals and a heavy supply of replacement cattle. Even with several herd sellouts, demand stayed good throughout the day, as many buyers were looking to replace cows that were culled last summer due to the drought.
