Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last week, slaughter cows and bulls traded 3.00-6.00 higher. Demand was very good on slaughter animals and moderate on replacements. The supply was moderate on slaughter animals and light on replacements as Winter weather started moving across the area during the sale. A gradual shift from stocker and feeder buyers to slaughter buyers has been evident the past couple of weeks but completed its shift today as slaughter buyers dominated the bidding.
