As filed

Compared to the last sale two weeks ago, steers and heifers under 600 lbs sold 5.00 to 15.00 lower, heavier weights steady to 8.00 higher. Slaughter cows steady to 5.00 higher. Lots of negative factors and uncertainty affecting the cattle sector the past couple weeks including lots of volatility in the futures markets and lower fat trade. The local market traded a little inverse of what one might expect with the lighter cattle taking a little off the top end prices and heavier weights finding a few more outlets. Quality and condition ran up and down throughout the day. Supply light, demand moderate to good.
