Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to the last tested market three weeks ago, steers traded mostly 10.00 to 20.00 higher, with a few random softer spots where the highs from the last sale weren't reached. Heifers sold 20.00 to 30.00 higher, spots up to 40.00 higher on some light weight grazers. Slaughter cows 7.00 to 10.00 higher. Really high quality offering this week with several large strings available that matched up well. Buyers were aggressive from the get go and with short numbers at the front of everyone's mind, the grazing cattle are getting snatched up while a few can still be found. Supply moderate to heavy, demand good to very good.
