Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to the last sale two weeks ago, steers and heifers sold sharply higher with several weights posting gains of over 30.00/cwt. The offering this week was pretty light but included a couple good sized consignments for buyers to start with and build around. Most of the cattle on offer were pretty wrung out after the latest heat wave, with some shots and long time weaned as well. Supply light, demand very good.
