As filed

No recently tested market but looking back four weeks, most weights of steers and heifers traded sharply higher. Slaughter cows 5.00 to 10.00 higher. Buyers showed no hesitation getting back to business after a couple weather related sale cancellations and prices quickly surpassed those of the last sale. Quality as a whole was above average with several reputation consignments on offer. CME futures have bounced back after a bit of a retreat, stoking the fires of this most recent cash feeder rally. Fake spring made an appearance this week, a pleasant and sudden change from the subzero temps of just days ago, and while grass may be around the corner, grazing cattle are getting harder to find as the weeks go by. Supply moderate, demand good to very good.
