Compared to two weeks ago, steers and heifers sold mostly 5.00 to 8.00 higher, spots sharply higher, with most weights putting the losses from the last sale right back on the top of the price ranges. Slaughter cows 2.00 to 4.00 lower. Still lots of calves in the offering, a mix of weaned and unweaned but most of them having received the desired two rounds of shots. The highlight of the day was a long string of reputation heifers, including 144 head weighing 774 lbs bringing just shy of 1900.00 per head. The feeder board has had a much more positive performance this week, putting a shot of optimism back in the market. Supply moderate, demand good.
