Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to the last sale two weeks ago, steers and heifers sold unevenly steady except a part load of 727 lb steers trading sharply higher. Slaughter cows 1.00 to 3.00 lower. Fairly slim comparisons to the last sale with a high percentage of very small or single head lots as well as several groups of unweaned calves. Excellent demand for a couple part loads of steers on offer, including the aforementioned 727 lb steers ringing the bell at 289.25/cwt. Supply and demand moderate.
