Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to the last sale two weeks ago, steers and heifers sold 10.00 to 15.00 lower. The only true exception was a multi-potload offering of backgrounded heifers that sold sharply higher. Slaughter cows 1.00 to 5.00 higher. Quality as a whole was below average and flesh condition fairly thin as cattle continue to come to town early off short pasture. Another tough day for cattle futures also did no favors for the local cash trade. Supply and demand moderate.
