Buyers are still aggressively pursuing purchases even given the surge in the corn market and lower trending cattle futures this week. A few more short weaned cattle showed up in the mix, some of the fleshiest seeing discounts. Still a lot of interest in light grazing cattle but the hottest ticket this week was for the top quality 600-720 lb steers, with light 6 wts climbing into mid 170s per cwt. Supply heavy, demand good to very good.
