As filed

Compared to last week, steers and heifers traded steady to 4.00 higher with some 500-550 lb heifers as much as 10.00 higher. Slaughter cows 3.00 to 5.00 higher. Quality was uneven and overall not as attractive as the last couple weeks but the market still made some advances and held on to some strength until late in the day. A wild weather pattern moved through the area Thursday that briefly caused some concern about cattle transport, with rain, sleet, snow, high winds and sunshine all in a 5 hour span. Supply moderate, demand moderate to good.
