Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to the last reported sale three weeks ago, steers and heifers under 650 lbs sold 20.00-30.00 lower with too few sales over 650 lbs for a trend. Demand was moderate to good in spots for a light to moderate mid summer run made up mostly of long time weaned, home raised short yearling types. Cash fed cattle have sold 7.00-15.00 lower over the last two weeks and feeder cattle futures have followed suite with sharp losses in the weeks since the last reported sale here at MO-KAN. Calf and feeder buyers have adjusted accordingly. Slaughter cows sold steady to 2.00 higher.
