Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last week, calves and yearlings sold with a higher undertone. Demand was good to very good for a moderate supply that included several loads of yearlings. Cattle futures, fed cattle and boxed beef have continued to show strength the last few weeks, supporting the calf and feeder market. There has been little fall pasture growth and the forecast is dry for the foreseeable future. Slaughter cows sold 6.00-8.00 higher.
