Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last week, based on light comparisons steers sold with a higher undertone and heifers traded mostly steady. A nice offering of 550-725 lb steers from a few consignors made up the majority of the sale and sold with good demand. Supply was light to moderate. Pastures have remained green and there is still quite a bit of haying going on. Slaughter cows sold mostly 2.00-5.00 higher except for some high dressing boning cows and slaughter bulls sharply higher.
