Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold mostly 3.00-7.00 lower, however a few sales of high quality calves weighing 500-625 lbs traded near steady. Demand was moderate to good, best for steer calves under 500 lbs and lightest for heifers calves under 500 lbs. Supply was light. Cattle futures have continued on a downward slide and haven't found a bottom yet with sharp losses again on Thursday. Slaughter cows sold 1.00-3.00 lower. Rain totals continue to add up across the region.
