Compared to the last sale at Mid - Missouri Stockyards three weeks ago, steers sold mostly 5.00 to 13.00 higher. Heifers under 600lbs sold with a sharply higher undertone and heifers over 600lbs sold with a steady undertone. There were many consignments of high quality weaned calves and yearlings in town that were highly sought after with many active bidders and buyers. Slaughter cows sold 5.00 to 8.00 higher and slaughter bulls were steady to 4.00 higher. Demand was very good on a heavy supply after two weeks of no sales due to extreme winter weather in the area.
