Copmpared to the last sale two weeks ago, steer calves weighing 450-500 lbs and steers weighing 600-650 lbs sold with a sharply higher undertone on limited comparisons, 500-550 lbs were not well tested, with 550-600 lbs trading steady on a light offering, 650-700 lbs sold 10.00-15.00 higher and 700-750 lbs trading 15.00-20.00 higher. Heifer calves weighing 450-500 lbs sold with a firm undertone, 500-550 lbs sold with a lower undertone on a light test, with 550-600 lbs trading 10.00-15.00 higher, 600-650 lbs were not well tested but trading with a sharply higher undertone and three pot loads of 738 lb heifers sold steady with two weeks ago. Demand was good on a moderate offering with several pot loads of heifers in the offering all selling with good demand. Market had wide price ranges with bulk of the offering weighing over 600 lbs. Several stick out sales included 77 hd of heifers weighing 614 lbs at 430.50 and 234 hd of 738 lb heifers selling at 366.60. Slaughter cows sp;d steady to firm on a light offering.
