Compared to last week, feeder steers weighing 400-700 lbs sold steady to firm with 550-600lb steers selling 5.00-10.00 higher and a pot load of 876 lb yearling steers trading with a sharply higher undertone. Heifer calves weighing 400-500 lbs sold steady to firm with 500-600 lbs selling 10.00-15.00 higher, 600-700 lbs sold with a higher undertone and three pot loads of heifers weighing 701-712 lbs off the same consignment from last week traded 14.00 higher. Demand was very good on a moderate supply with a good quality offering of yearlings and calves all selling on a very active market. Stick out sales included the three pot loads of heifers averaging 706 lbs at 336.10 with a pot load off the same consignment weighing 686 lbs also at 336.10, pot load of heifers weighing 752 lbs at 312.75 and pot load of steers weighing 876 lbs at 321.85. Slaughter cows sold mostly steady on a light offering.
