Compared to the last special two weeks ago, steer calves under 650 lbs were lightly tested as last sale offering was mostly yearling steers over 650 lbs but steer calves sold with a firm to higher undertone, best test was on 700-750 lb steers selling 10.00-20.00 higher. Heifer calves under 650 lbs sold with a firm to higher undertone with 550-600 lb heifers trading 10.00-20.00 higher, spots 25.00 higher and one large consignment three pot loads of 716-738 lb heifers selling 3.00 higher than two weeks ago. Offering included several consignments of new crop/short weaned calves selling with moderate to good demand. Demand was very good on long timed weaned calves and yearlings, supply was moderate with the stick out sale being consignment of 229 hd of 716-738 lb heifers selling at 285.50-285.75. Slaughter cows sold steady to spots 3.00 higher on a light offering.
