Compared to last week, Tuesday's auction was centered around the pot loads and part loads of yearling heifers and pot load of 820 lb steers that sold with good demand. The three pot loads of heifers weighing 715 to 720 lbs and near pot load of heifers weighing 678 lbs sold 2.00-5.00 higher than last week's pot loads of similar weight and quality. The pot load of steers weighing 821 lbs sold with a higher undertone. Stick out sales included the pot loads of heifers weighing 715-720 lbs at 258.50-260.25, part load 35 head weighing 705 lbs at 262.00, near load 53 hd weighing 687 lbs at 268.25 and pot load of thin fleshed steers weighing 821 lbs at 264.85. Good rain fell through out the trade area over the last couple of days ranging mostly from 2 to 3 inches of rain. Slaughter cows were scarce.
