Compared to the last special two weeks ago, Tuesday's auction had bulk of the sales selling in pot load lots with three pot loads of yearling steers and five pot loads of yearling heifers. The best test on the yearling steers was the pot load weighing 672 lbs trading 9.00 lower than two weeks ago pot load of similar weight with the pot loads of 660-698 lb heifers trading mostly 3.00-7.00 lower than the pot loads from two weeks ago, and two pot loads heifers (143 head) averaging 709 lbs sold 2.00 lower. Demand was good on the pot loads with a pot load of steers at 614 lbs at 302.00; pot load steers 672 lbs at 271.25; 143 head of heifers averaging 709 lbs sold at 248.50 and a pot load heifers weighing 705 lbs thin condition sold at 252.10. Slaughter cows on a light test were steady.
