Compared to the last special two weeks ago, steer calves under 650 lbs and heifer calves under 600 lbs were lightly tested but sold with a firm undertone, a few packages of 650-700 lb steers sold with a higher undertone. The best test was on 650-700 lbs heifers with two pot loads trading steady to 4.00 lower than the active trade from two weeks ago. The highlights of Tuesday's auction was the 5 pot loads of heifers with two pot loads (162 head) all black with good weighing conditions averaging 604 lbs selling at 309.10, two pot loads weighing 677 and 689 lbs at 271.00-279.75 and a pot load 76 hd 724 lbs also with good weigh up sold at 278.00. Demand was good on the pot loads with supply light to moderate. Slaughter cows were lightly tested.
