Compared to the last special two weeks ago, steer calves weighing 450-500 lbs sold 5.00-10.00 higher with 500-600 lbs trading steady to firm and 600-700 lbs selling with a firm to higher undertone. Feeder heifers weighing 400-550 lbs sold steady with 3 pot loads of 650-700 lb heifers selling 5.00 lower than the pot loads from two weeks ago. Slaughter cows sold steady to firm on a light test. Demand was good on a moderate offering with and active market on the 450-650 lb steers. Several pot load sales included three pot loads (240 head) of 673-689 lb heifers at 257.25 and a pot load heifers weighing 714 lbs at 255.10. Feeder Cattle futures took a tumble on Tuesday closing with sharp losses with May thru November down 3.45 to 4.32 lower.
